What is Shiatsu?
Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese bodywork method rooted in Traditional Eastern Medicine that restores balance by giving attention to the meridian channels. These energetic pathways originate in our organs, and travel throughout the entire body, carrying information of health and dis-ease. Translating to "finger pressure" and often referred to as "acupuncture without needles," Shiatsu applies compression using palms, fingers, elbows, and knees along with fluid stretching to work with the Qi (life-force energy) that influences our emotional, physical, and spiritual health.
Benefits include:
-
Stress relief and deep relaxation
-
Chronic fatigue, pain and tension relief
-
Digestive support
-
Improved sleep
-
Emotional balance and nervous system restoration

Like breaking down a dam for a river to flow, working with the meridian channels clears physical and energetic blockages, allowing fluidity to enter your body and your life. Shiatsu invites you to receive, restore, and return to balance.
